Guardiola future remains unclear as Man City enter crucial week

Latest from Your Site News' Lyall Thomas:

Pep Guardiola appears to be keeping everybody guessing as to whether this will be his last week in charge of Manchester City.

Only Guardiola knows for sure if he will leave after the remaining two games of the Premier League season or see out the remaining year on his contract until 2027.

The widespread feeling and discussion in football currently is that Guardiola is expected to go and Enzo Maresca is his likely replacement.

But this has not been confirmed by sources at City nor others close to him - and Guardiola has repeatedly insisted he is happy at the club.

Also, as far as City are concerned, the Catalan remains their manager and their focus is fully on two crucial final games in the Premier League title race.

Ahead of their FA Cup final triumph on Saturday, Your Site News reported that two of his most trusted coaches will be leaving this summer, intensifying the doubt over Guardiola's long-term future at the Etihad.

But ahead of the 1-0 victory at Wembley over Chelsea, Guardiola stressed to all who asked that he still has one year left on his contract, and after the game he spoke glowingly of his team.

"The future is bright," he said. "I know the guys, I know how they feel, the commitment for the club, very professional. I'm pretty sure we'll be there in the next years."

City hope to take the title race into the final day of the season by beating Bournemouth on Tuesday night, 24 hours after Arsenal face Burnley on Monday Night Football.

It is a decisive week, not only for the destination of the trophy, but also the future of Guardiola and the identity of the City head coach heading into next season.

Lech Poznan looking to renegotiate Palma fee with Celtic

Latest from Your Site News' Anthony Joseph:

Lech Poznan are looking to renegotiate the option-to-buy fee for on-loan Celtic winger Luis Palma.

The Honduras international joined the Polish side on a season-long loan deal, with an option to buy for 3.5m.

Poznan have already had a couple of offers rebuffed, but its understood the clubs are not far apart in their discussions over a potential deal worth 2.6m.

Palma has a good season in Poland with 21 goal contributions in all competitions.

Hojlund bids farewell to Man Utd

Rasmus Hojlund has bid farewell to Manchester United after the obligation for his loan to Napoli to become permanent was triggered by them securing Champions League qualification.

The striker scored in a 3-0 win over Pisa that takes Napoli up to second in Serie A with one game remaining. The deal for him to join the Italian club is worth 38m and will be processed in June once the transfer window opens.

This goal felt symbolic because it means two things," he wrote on Instagram. "We now secured Champions League with Napoli, which means because of my contract Im now officially a Napoli player and Im saying goodbye to Manchester United.

That feels weird, because for the past year I already feel like a Napoli player. The way you fans supported me, made me feel like home and let me find my confidence again is something Im so grateful for. To say goodbye to Manchester United is something that kinda feels emotional too.

My childhood dream came true by playing at Old Trafford in a red jersey. So the goal today symbolizes a new confident start, in which I will give everything for the time ahead to Napoli, and a thank you to all the fans, players and staff of Manchester United who made the dream I had as a kid come true. Its time for new dreams, so lets chase them.
