PGA Championship tee times: Rory McIlroy grouped with Ryder Cup team-mate Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth for first two rounds at Aronimink

Rory McIlroy has been grouped alongside Ryder Cup team-mate Jon Rahm and Grand Slam hopeful Jordan Spieth for the first two rounds of the PGA Championship.

McIlroy will be in the early-late half of the draw at Aronimink Golf Club as he chases back-to-back major wins, .

The world No 2 will go out at 8.40am local time on Thursday (1.40pm UK and Ireland) alongside three-time major winner Spieth, who is looking to join McIlroy in golf's Grand Slam club by lifting the Wanamaker Trophy this week.

Two-time major champion Rahm completes the marquee threeball, with the Spaniard grouped with McIlroy for the first time since .

Defending champion Scottie Scheffler is on the opposite side of the draw as he looks to claim a fifth major in as many years, having claimed the PGA Championship and The Open during a dominant 2025.

Scheffler goes out alongside Justin Rose, who also challenged McIlroy for victory at Augusta National last month, with Matt Fitzpatrick - a three-time winner on the PGA Tour already this season - also in that group.

Two-time PGA Championship winner Justin Thomas partners last year's Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley and world No 3 Cameron Young, who won The Players in March and is the highest-ranked player in the world rankings without a major title.

Former major champions Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka are in the morning wave alongside England's Tyrrell Hatton, one of 11 LIV Golf players in the field, with that threeball going out the group before McIlroy at 8.29am local time (1.29pm UK and Ireland).

The PGA Championship has been won by an American in each of the last 10 years, with golfers from the United States winning 17 of the last 24 men's major championships.
